Definition of Backbiting - Shaykh Abdullah al-Bassam - Abu Adam Jameel Finch

At Masjid Ibn Baaz in Philadelphia the khateeb is usually Hamzah Abdur-Razzaq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), but this jumu'ah (14th April 2023) he delivered the khutbah at Masjid Rahmah in Newark, New Jersey and Abu Adam Jameel Finch (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered the khubah at Masjid Ibn Baaz.

The title: "The Evils of Backbiting" has been given by me, as the audio released on their official Spreaker account.

Here is an extracted benefit that has been digitally edited and serves as a reminder for us all about an affair we often become negligent regarding the impermissible types of backbiting legislated in the shar'iah.

In the next audio we will bring the audio that highlights all the times when there is no exception to the rule, no matter how much you try to justify it, it is not permissible.

May Allah give us the ability to understand that which we hear, Aameen.

Explanation of the Hadeeth - O Allah Forgive Me - Sahih Muslim - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

Seeking forgiveness from Allah is a very important and pivotal point in the life of a Muslim.  If it isn't for you, then maybe it is time to reassess your situation.

Here is a lecture delivered by Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that deals with this particular topic.  It is a lecture that was delivered as part of a conference titled: "The Hearts of those who Believe" delivered at Islamic Center Palm Beach (ICPB) in 2014.

As is usual now, the audio has been digitally remastered to remove as much of the excess background noise as I was able to.  From the link above the listener can compare the original audio to the edited file posted below.

Some extremely important reminders for us all to contemplate over.

Actions are Accepted or Rejected - Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan - Rasheed Barbee

I have several external hard-drives at home storing many audios I have either recorded or edited over the years.

After many years, I attached one particular drive to my computer, looking to see what I had.

The first lecture I came across was this translated from the audio of Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) by Rasheed Barbee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) related to the the month of Ramadan and whether our actions are accepted or rejected.

The date of the download is the 15th of April 2013.  That is over 10 years ago.

So, I decided to edit it a little and release it here today.  I don't know where it came from.  At the time it was downloaded I didn't really both referencing the source location.

May Allah enable it to be a source of benefit for Islam and the Muslims, Aameen!
