This is a lecture that was delivered by The Imām, the Allāmah, ash-Shaykh, Muqbil bin Hādī Al-Wādi'ī (rahimahullah Ta'ala) on the 15th of Rabi al-Awwal, 1422 (only a month or so before his death), corresponding to the 7th of June 2001. The Arabic title that was given to it, translates as What I Witnessed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
What was this tape about? It is a recantation and clarification of some statements he, (rahimahullah Ta'ala) had made, in some of his works, in criticism of Saudi Arabia. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during his illness, which led to his death over the last year or so of his life, he witnessed many things that led him to make the following clarification, in which he took back all of what he had previously stated.
I personally had the honour of meeting the Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) one time in my life, in August of 2000, in his hotel room in Makkah, one of the most memorable experiences of my life, shortly prior to his death.
This recording is just a digitally re-mastered version of the original audio, done to remove a lot of the excessive background noise.

The clarification is itself a refutation of the Hizbiyyūn and the Thawriyyūn who intend evil and also of the Hizbiyyūn who would utilise the Shaykh's previous statements in order to cause confusion amongst Ahl as-Sunnah, by justifying their innovated ways and methods by way of the previous ijtihād of Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullah Ta'ala) in this matter.
We ask Allāh, Subhana wa Ta'ala, that He bestows vast mercy upon our noble father and scholar, Muqbil bin Hādī Al-Wādi'ī. And that he raises his ranks in Jannah for having caused much of the goodness by calling the people to Salafiyyah, by the will of Allāh, in the land of Yemen and other than it.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
