Who was Ibn al-'Uthaymeen - Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali

Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahullah Ta'ala) stated teaching Sharh al-Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah of Shaykh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah with the explanation of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saaleh al-'Uthaymeen (rahimahullah Ta'ala) on Thursday the 7th Rajab 1424 (4th September 2003).

In the very first lecture, he gave an introduction to who Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was and some details of his life and works, in the form of extracted benefits has been titled: The Life and Lineage of Shaykh al Islam ibn Taymiyyah.

But today, I bring you an extraction from the second lecture that was delivered, in which he introduced the explainer of al-Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah, Shaykh Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Saaleh ibn Muhammad al-'Uthaymeen at-Tameemee (rahimahullah Ta'ala), I am sure we are all familiar with the name of the Shaykh if not his works.

Without any further-a-do, here is that beautiful introduction to our Shaykh.

The Marriage & Divorce Series - Abu Humayd Saalim

Here is a series of lessons titled: The Marriage & Divorce Series, delivered by our brother, Abu Humayd Saalim (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that was posted by our brothers in Manchester on the website: Learn About Islam on their Soundcloud account.

They were originally posted in FLAC format, which can only be opened by certain audio players.

What I have done is taken those very same files and converted them to MP3, so that it makes it a lot easier for more people to benefit from them without having to look for conversion software.

I have not edited the audio files in any way to do any digital remastering, other than to change their format & now present the complete series here, walhamdulllah:

Rulings & Regulations Regarding Zakat-ul-Fitr - Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee

I previously posted an audio by Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) titled: Actions of Worship Legislated at the End of Ramadaan

Today, I post another one of his lectures delivered a day earlier on the 2nd of August 2013 the original source file can be found here on his website Follow the Salaf.

The end of Ramadaan is here.  May Allah accept from us our fasting and other acts of worship, Aameen.

There are several issues that we must be aware of during this time from these issues of giving of Zakat-ul-Fitr.

Do you know...

...on whom it is obligatory?

...can you give it in money?

...can non-muslims receive it?

...when should it be given?

Listen to find out.

As usual, I have taken the audio & digitally remastered it by cleaning up the background noise & now being able to present it here for you to benefit from, walhamdulillah.

May Allah give us all a good ending, saving us from the Hellfire, Aameen.

Role Confusion - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

This audio was found on the YouTube Channel of Umm Uthmaan al-Majariyyah (may Allah have mercy upon her).  They have been digitally edited to clean up a considerable amount of the background noise they contained.

During the first audio Abu Suhaialh 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) covers the folllowing point mentioned by Imam adh-Dhahabi (rahimhullah Ta'ala) in his book al-Kaba'ir:

"The adulterer-fornicator marries not but an adulteress-fornicatress or a Mushrikah, and the adulteress-fornicatress none marries her except an adulterer-fornicator or a Muskrik [and that means that the man who agrees to marry (have a sexual relation with) a Mushrikah (female polytheist, pagan or idolatress) or a prostitute, then surely he is either an adulterer fornicator, or a Mushrik (polytheist, pagan or idolater). And the woman who agrees to marry (have a sexual relation with) a Mushrik (polytheist, pagan or idolater) or an adulterer-fornicator, then she is either a prostitute or a Mushrikah (female polytheist, pagan, or idolatress)]. Such a thing is forbidden to the believers (of Islâmic Monotheism)." [Surah an-Nur (24): 3]

He then brings the following hadeeth: On the authority of 'Abdullah Ibn 'Umar (radiAllahu anhu) that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'aiaihi wa sallam)) said, "Three persons shall not enter Paradise: The one who is disobedient to his parents, he who lets his wife fornicate with another, and the woman who imitates men.” [Authentic chain of narration: Hakim]

He (Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn) says:  "If we look at this narration in light of the world in which we live and what the people believe they possess of absolute, unrestricted freedom to do as they will.  Or, they believe that there is no authority over them other than the authority of their own desires and what they want. That they are their own Lords and can control their own affairs, so on and so forth. And it is viewed that the authority of the man over the woman is an oppressive authority. And the authority of the parent over the child is viewed to be an oppressive authority and this is the family that is described here, or the child is disrespectful and unmindful of the parents.  And where the man has no jealousness/protectiveness over his womenfolk. Where the woman acts like the man. She leaves as she pleases and roams about as she pleases and does as she pleases. Then, this is a society that they believe is, and this is the family that they believe is a progressive family a rational family.  This is the definition of the "think-tanks of the major corporations and academia give to a "moderate Muslim family."

Leaving Alone What Doesn't Concern You - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

This audio was found on the YouTube Channel of Umm Uthmaan al-Majariyyah (may Allah have mercy upon her).  It has been digitally edited to clean up a considerable amount of the background noise it contained.

How often do people get involved with affairs that do not concern them?  Thinking that need to do or say something. Even believing that they are obligated to do so.

Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivers an excellent khutbah on this very important subject matter that we all need to be reminded about occasionally.

Strengthening Brotherhood - Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee

Here is a lecture by Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that took place at Masjid Rahmah in Newark, New Jersey, and was posted on their Spreaker account approximately 3 years ago.

The subject is strengthening brotherhood and likewise sisterhood.  How are we with regards to this issue?  Do we know what the rights are of our brothers and sisters?

I have taken it and edited it, before posting it here.
