I remember years ago, while sitting with Abu Talhah Dawud Burbank (rahimahumullah Ta'ala), he mentioned that sisters would visit his wife and seek to discuss various complex issues related to affairs of the religion and see would suggest that they discuss how the ghusl is to be performed correctly. He mentioned that people often are lacking in an understanding of the basics of the religion.
Bearing this in mind, here is an excellent lecture that was delivered by Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimullah Ta'ala) discussing the basics of al-Islam.
