Children Attending the Masjid - Abul-’Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

We often and especially in Ramadan find it very convenient to take our children to the Masjid, be it at salah time or during the classes that may be going on.  It is possibly very convenient for us, but how is it for the rest of the people attending?

Are your children behaving?  Are they disturbing the people who are praying their obligatory salah?  Are you going to be held accountable for the behaviour of your underage children's behaviour?

If this is the case, then maybe you (as a sister) are excused from coming to the Masjid!  All of these things need to be thought about before you come to the Masjid or bring your children with you.

Listen to the advice of Abul-'Abbas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhullah Ta'ala) during the ongoing Ramadan series he is currently delivering at  al-Masjid al-Awwal, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, titled:1444 (2023) Ramadhaan Lessons.

Truly a timely reminder for all of our sisters and brothers who will be regularly attending the House of Allah, for the remembrance of Allah.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
