Fitnah is like a Spark - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

One brother advises another about an affair.  The discussion is as follows:

Advisor: "Don't get involved akh, it doesn't concern you!  It's not worth it akh!  It could lead to an even bigger fitnah!"

Advised: "No bro, I know what I am doing.  I understand the issues very well.  I'll be able to handle it."

How many times have we heard this type argument being put forward with regards to debating regarding matters of deen and opening upon the doors of fitnah?

Then, when the spark is lit, the fitnah increases until they are eventually engulfed by it and lost to its flames.

Fitnah is like a spark.  A spark isn't such a big thing but what it can lead to is total destruction.

The following benefit has been extracted from the first lecture in the series titled: Sharh al-Sunnah of al-Imam al-Muzani at Masjid al-Hidaayah.

Listen to Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) as he narrates from a narration from Imam at-Tahawi (rahimahullah Ta'ala) about how he advised his strongest student, Imam al-Muzani (rahimahullah Ta'ala) with regards to this affair.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim
