During a seminar titled: Preparing for Ramadan, that took place at Masjid Rahmah a few year ago, Mustafa George (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) held a Q&A session.
One of those questions that I have modified to include its intended meaning in order to clarify the question as I believe it was intended:
Seeing certain individuals who have gone astray or fallen in to sin, when ramadan arrives you see that fall off after a few days into the month, what advice do you give us regarding how we should help such individuals.
He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following advice:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
