Here is a benefit from a khutbah delivered more than 6 years ago, titled; "Today's Trials VS. Real Religious Persecution of the Past" delivered by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala on 29th of Safar 1437 at al-Masjid al-Awwal.
In the khutbah, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) offers this timely reminder about sticking to the Religion in times of difficulty and not compromising our practice of the Religion. The people of the past faced unthinkable persecution, compared to our minor difficulties that stem from Islam having a bad image at times. With these minor trials, we find many Muslims stumbling and giving up aspects of their religion. May Allaah aid us and keep us firm.
