Here is a question that was answered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) at the end of a joint lecture delivered with Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).
The lecture was titled: Loving the Deen & Making Tawbah and took places at Markaz us-Sunnah, Alperton, London.
I previous broke the lecture down in to 3 parts: Making Tawbah by Hasan as-Somali, Loving the Deen - Abdulilah Lahmami, and the questions.
The question is: What advice do you have for somebody that is trying to stay firm upon their religion but is constantly surrounded by bad influences? How do you get away from bad influences? What is the best type of tawbah?
He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
