At the end of an truly amazing lecture delivered by Abul-Hasan Malik (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) titled: The Biography of Shaykh Abdullah al-Qaraawi, he addressed the following question:
How do we respond to those who say there is a Salafiyyah of old and a new Salafiyyah?
He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following concise response.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
