The meaning of Ḥizbiyyah is simply put as partisanship. This can be to a nation, organisation, group, or tribe. All of these forms are prohibited within al-Islam.
The only form of permissible partisanship an individual is allowed to have is towards Allah and His Messenger (ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam). The partisanship for the truth and only the truth contained with the revelation.
With this in mind, here is another classic khutbah delivered by Abu Awais Abdullah Alee (rahimahullah Ta'ala) that has been digitally remastered as a reminder for us all.
