Mobile Phone Photography - Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid

A special Q&A session occurred at Darimi Bookstore & Islamic Centre in Islamabad, with Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

The following  is the essence of the question that was asked was asked:

The photographs that are taken today by modern-day devices, such as your phones and so on.  Are these permissible, since it is claimed, that they are not the imagery that is prohibited in the Shar'iah because, in essence, they are taking a mirror image or a reflective image of something that is present?

Here is his (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala's) response.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
