O Ukhtee - The Rights & Duties of Women in Islam - Abdulilah Lahmami

Here is a lecture that was delivered at Markaz Muaadh, Slough, on the 13th of September 2013.  

In it, Abdulilah Lamhami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gives a beautiful advice to our sisters consisting of about 30 benefits by covering a range of topics, clearly and concisely.

Starting by emphasising the importance of sincerity in their religion, doing things purely for Allah's sake alone, by following the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), 

He also gives examples of the character that our daughters, sisters and mothers need to adopt in their lives, making the hereafter our focus.

7 - Being Righteous Towards One's Children
8 - Having Modesty and Shyness
9 - Calling to Islām and the Sunnah with Good Manners
10 - Seeking Knowledge and Not Wasting Time
11 - Guarding the Tongue
12 - Refraining from what does not Concern You
13 - Showing Respect to the Elders and Having Mercy on the Young Ones
14 - Loving and Showing Respect to the Ulamā
15 - Not Looking Down on those who have Lesser than You in Matters of the Dunyā
16 - Having Mercy and being Patient with the Younger Ones
17 - Being Patient with the Harm Caused by Others
18 - Being a Good Role Model in all Aspects
19 - Avoiding Excessive Talk and Keeping the Tongue Moist with the Dhikr of Allāh
20 - Raise the Children Upon the Sunnah with Good Manners
21 - To Make much Tawbāh
22 - Keeping Away from Jealousy and Envy
23 - Return Bad with Good
24 - Wish for Others what You Wish for Yourself
25 - 26 - Worship Allāh Upon Fear and Hope
27 - Remember Your Goal
28 - Remembrance of Death
29 - Be Thankful of the People
30 - Look After the Amānah (Trust) of the People
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
