This is a question that was asked to Shaykh Saaleh ibn Muhammad al-Luhaydaan (rahimahullah Ta'ala) that has been extracted from his explanation of Kitab at-Tawheed that was translated for the westerners of Riyadh.

In this question the Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:
How do we respond to those who say that the da'wah of Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahaab was a call to Takfeer?
He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
