In a lecture delivered at Markaz Mu'aadh in Slough, titled: Seven Obstacles in the Path of Seeking Knowledge by Uways at-Taweel (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentioned seven obstacles which have been broken down below:
Virtues of Knowledge
Obstacle 1 - Not Seeking Knowledge for the Sake of Allah
Obstacle 2 - Not Implementing that which You’ve Learned
Obstacle 3 - Relying on Books & Not Sitting & Referring Back to the Scholars
Obstacle 4 - Taking Knowledge from the Little Ones
Obstacle 5 - Sins - Self-Amazement & Arrogance
Obstacle 5 - Sins - Self-Amazement & Arrogance
Obstacle 6 - Not Seeking Knowledge in Stages & Putting that which is Important First
Obstacle 7 - Hastiness to Get Result & Being Impatient in Seeking Knowledge

Question 1: How can we teach our parents beneficial knowledge
Question 2 : If someone is new to learning how can they strive in learning the Qur’an and Arabic
Question 3 : Is listening to audios from the scholars and students of knowledge the same as sitting with people of knowledge?
Question 4 : Can you tell us some stories of the scholars you have met?
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
