During this, must-listen lecture he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) narrates a question that was asked of Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah Ta'ala), the translation of which, is posted below.
The question is the following:
This questioner that has called the program (radio station) who has written down his name as "Alif Alif". He says, my question is about some of the admonitions and the sermons that we hear from some of those who address people (may Allah guide them). When they speak they address them with speech that is sharp and not gentle and their speech is directed at some people who have made a mistake. And some of these people who make these mistakes are making them just because they are just ignorant (they don't have knowledge) and after that mistake here comes some sharp and not gentle speech. The questioner asks, is this from the legislation of al-Islam?
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave the following translated answer:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
