The Life of Shaykh Muqbil ibn Haadee al-Waadi'ee - Mustafa George

Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was born sometime between the late 1920s and early 1930s nearby to the city of Sa'adah  in northern Yemen and is said to be from the tribe of a Zaydi. He left Yemen as a young man and travelled to Saudi Arabia  to work and became acquainted with Orthodox Sunni works of Islamic scholarship.

After finishing primary education in Yemen, Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullah Ta'ala) spent roughly two decades of studying Islam n Saudi Arabia. In 1963 he began by studying in the Salafi teaching centre developed by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (rahimahullah Ta'ala) in Najran before then being accepted to study at the Islamic University of Madinah where he attended gatherings led the Hadith scholar Shaykh Muhammad Naasir-Uddin al-Albaanee (rahimahullah Ta'ala) and Shaykh Abdul-Ghaffar al-Hindi (rahimahullah Ta'ala) as well as former Grand Mufti Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz ibn Baaz (rahimahullah Ta'ala) while also studying under Shaykh Muhammad as-Sumali it is said that Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullah Ta'ala) is said to have graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah with a Masters degree in the science of hadith.
