The Prophetic Supplication for the Newly Married Couple - Taalib Abdullah

Have you ever wondered about the  wording of the dua that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) used to make for the newly married couple?
  • Arabic: بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
  • Transliteration: Bārakallāhu laka, wa bāraka ʿalayka, wa jamaʿa baynakumā fī khayr.
  • Translation: "May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness".
Listen to Taalib Abdullah (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), as he explains the reasoning behind the legislated wording of this supplication.

The benefit has been extracted from the khutbah titled: Lessons in Patience.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
