Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered at khutbah at Masjid Ahlul Qur’an Wal Hadeeth on the 1st October 2021 commonly known as: The 18th Street Masjid.
It was originally posted on the official Spreaker account of the masjid.
This khutbah had such a profound effect on me, that I wanted to share it here with all of you. It seriously made me think about my own affairs and reflect on them.
It is based upon a question that was asked to him by a brother concerned about his own affairs.
The question was as follows: "There is something wrong with me. I continuously ask Allahu Ta'ala to soften my heart. I'm continuously asking Allahu Ta'ala to make it easy for me, to read the Qur'an. I ask Allahu Tabarakahu wa Ta'ala right after the Salawat, Ya Allah, make this easy for me and make that easy for me but I don't find an affect of that dua. A person comes to me and reminds me with Ayat of the Qur'an, there is no Athar (the affect of that reminder) upon my heart. So, what is the matter, that I am asking Allah and I am asking Allah and there is no Athar upon my heart?"
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
