Umm Zaynab Fātimah bint Abbās - Hasan as-Somali


Many students of Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) are well-known, such in Ibn al-Qayyim, Ibn Kathir and others (rahimahumullah Ta'ala), but do we know that Ibn Taymiyyah even has some female students, from amongst them is Umm Zaynab Fātimah bint Abbās (rahimahaullah Ta'ala).

Here is a benefit about her from a two-part lecture series delivered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that I previously posted, titled: The Biography of Ibn Taymiyyah.  In the second lecture, he mentions something about this particular student of his. Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
