Using Photos for Family Archives - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

During a sitting in which a series of questions from 1MM sisters were addressed by Abul-’Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), the following question was asked:

My cousins and I have begun to compile a book to be kept within our family that has narrations from our elder family members about their lives. This was started with the intention to preserve our lineage as most black Americans have lost it.  The question is it permissible to include historical photos of our family in this book?

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
