Stick to the Truth & Don’t Fear the People - Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid

Here is an excellent benefit from Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in which he (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) reminds us about the importance of asking Allah (subhanahu wa Ta'ala) to keep us firmly established upon the path that leads ultimately to His pleasure alone.  Hold firm to the truth and stand with the people of truth.

It is one of seven benefits that have been extracted from a khutbah titled: The Importance of being Firm Upon Salafiyyah.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

The Bayaan Before the Friday Khutbah - Fareed Abdullah

Here is a piece of audio that I found on YouTube.

Fareed Abdullah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) mentioned that the question asked was the following:

In some of the Masaajid there is a talk prior to the khutbah being given and it is done weekly as a part of the whole format of the Jumu'ah.

He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Neglecting the Jumu'ah Prayer Corrupts the Heart - Abu Idrees Muhammad

On the 6th of August 2021, I had the pleasure of attending a khutbah delivered at Masjid as-Salafi, Birmingham along with my two sons (hafidhahumullah Ta'ala) The khateeb on that day was Abu Idrees Muhammad ((hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  He delivered a khutbah that was later released on the SalafiSounds website with the title: Neglecting the Jumu’ah Prayer Corrupts the Heart.

You can download the complete khutbah from the link I have posted above.

It has been a very long time since I last heard a khutbah or a lecture talking about the virtues of Jumu'ah and its related affairs.

Bearing this in mind, I have taken the audio, carried out a little digital remastering, and extracted some of what I regard as the key points that should be taken away from it, although there is no doubt the entirety of this khutbah has numerous benefits that can be taken away from it.

Here are the six main ones I have selected to post here.  May Allah enable us to benefit fully from that which we hear, Aameen

1 - Some of the Virtues of the Day of Jumu’ah
2 - O You Who Believe, Hasten to the Remembrance of Allah!
3 - Our Sins can be Forgiven
4 - Hadeeth of Encouragement to Attend Jumu’ah
5 - Be from those whose Name is Written by the Angels
6 - Harms of Missing Jumu’ah
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

3 Skills a Student of Knowledge Must Develop - Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq

The three skills that must be developed bought here by Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) were found mentioned in the audio from his reading of the explanation of 'Aqidah at-Tahawiyyah by Shaykh Saalih ibn 'Abdul-'Aziz Aala Ash-Shaykh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that can be download from this link. An extremely beneficial series of lectures.

Here is that very beneficial advice:
Summary of the Advice

First Skill: Taking clear notes with good handwriting such that you are able to read what you have written when you are going to revise them and memorize them.

Second Skill: Summarising the notes that you take such that once you have taken the notes, you read them later and summarize them so that you are able to know the basic points and important benefits.

Third Skill: Revising whatever you have noted down from the class you have attended such that you memorize the important points.

“Knowledge disappears if you do not attend to it”

EDIT: What I mean by the word “Student of Knowledge” in the heading is; anyone who studies the religion upon the hands of the scholars or upon the hands of those who are recommended by the scholars. So, basically, the one who has just begun to attend the English lectures, and the advanced student who is attending to the advanced lessons of the scholars and are involved in giving da’wah are all included in this statement. These three skills which are mentioned may also be applied in acquiring worldly knowledge too. Wallah A’lam.

You are not Ahlul-Hadeeth - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

Listen to how Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) reprimanded those people that call themselves Ahlul-Hadeeth.

He (rahimahulllah Ta'ala) attended an Islamic conference wherein they were selling cassette tapes with the photos of those that delivered the lecture that was recorded on that particular tape after seeing this and noticing many errors on previous occasions the Shaykh said the following words.

The lecture from which the clip has been extracted is:  The Islamic Ruling on Photography

Following the Sunnah - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

A man asked the Imām of Dār al-Hijrah (i.e. Madinah) Mālik Ibn Anas (رحمه الله): “From where should I take the Ihrām for pilgrimage?” Imām Mālik responded: “From wherever the Prophet (‎ﷺ‎‬) took the Ihrām.” The man repeated himself a few times until he said: “So what if I add to that [place of Ihrām an extra distance]?” Mālik said: “Don’t do that, for I fear for you fitnah.” The man said: “What is there in this of fitnah? It is only a matter of miles I am adding to the place of Ihrām?!” Mālik said: “Indeed Allāh, the Most-High, said: ‎’Let those beware, who oppose the command of the Messenger lest some fitnah befalls them or a painful punishment is inflicted upon them.’* [An-Noor: 63]

What I have done is slow the speed of this lecture down by 10%, this should make it considerably easier for the listeners to understand, in shaa Allah.

We will suffice with the fact, that a reminder truly benefits the believers.
