Building a Masjid Upon Taqwa - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

We all need a reminder from time to time.  I very important point to remember for those working hard to build a masjid for their community.  Your masjid needs to be built upon taqwa and not just bricks and mortar. in order for it to be successful.  Overlooking this very important point could have a detrimental effect on your efforts.

Listen to this short but extremely important khutbah delivered by Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  The actual audio was once posted on the official Spreaker account of Masjid Rahmah but was later removed.

The khutbah is actually about half of the entire audio and it is this part that I have taken and edited to improve its overall quality.

May Allah enable us to fully benefit from that which we hear, Aameen.

Keep Your Intention in Check! - Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan

This is one of the most overlooked and least understood issues by many individuals.  The issue of keeping our intention in check.

Here is a very brief reminder from the Kitab at-Tawheed class of Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) posted on the SoundCloud account of Masjid Ad Da'wah Ilat Tawheed.    Words that should be written in gold.

Raising Money to Establish Ongoing Sadaqah for the Deceased - Abdulilah Lahmami

In two separate audios that recently came to me, Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahulah Ta'ala) addressed the issue of setting up fundraising accounts that are used for the purpose of setting up something in the form sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) in the name of a deceased individual.

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) brings the statement of Shaykh al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in the first audio and the statement of Shaykh Ibn al-Uthaymeen ((rahimahullah Ta'ala) in the second audio.

What I have done is to combine both audios into one.

Before editing this audio, I messaged him (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) to gain his permission to do so.  He gave his consent in an audio response, walhamdulillah.

The Importance of Dhikr & Dua - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

A beautiful reminder on a subject matter of extreme importance, which unfortunately of often neglected or overlooked by many of us delivered in a unique style by Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

The source audio was taken from a video found on YouTube.  I have cleaned up a considerable amount of the background noise that was present in the original audio file and present it here now, walhamdulillah.

Get back to basics and come closer to Allah, through that which will benefit you in this dunya and the Aakirah, our time is very limited in this world.  Is it not time that we stop wasting any more than we already have?
NOTE: There is an excellent lecture titled:  The Importance and Conditions of Dua by Abu Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid, which is also extremely beneficial and worth listening to on this matter.

Two Things NOT to do as a Student of Knowledge - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

We often hear about the characteristics that a student of knowledge should have.  In a lecture that I previously posted titled: The Six Characteristics of a Successful Student of Knowledge by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) identified more than 6 characteristics.

One thing that people may have missed is, that he also highlighted several that they should avoid.    Here is that extremely beneficial extracted benefit, barak Allahu feekum!

Here is an excellent lecture by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) possibly back in 2012.  I actually found this audio on YouTube.
