Some Important Principles Regarding Establishing a Masjid - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

The picture above is of Masjid As-Salaf As-Sālih in Sindh, Pakistan.  A few years ago I posted the following tweet:
It is so true, that what you make of it, makes it a masjid.  If you establish the worship of your Creator as has been legislated then you are fulfilling its rights and obligations.

Here is a benefit that was found at the end of a lecture that I titled: The Pillars of Islam by the Muhaddith of Pakistan Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala).  In it, the Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gives some timely advice on the establishment of a masjid project.  Very beneficial for us all.

Explanation of the Hadeeth of the Man who Killed 99 People - Uways at-Taweel

Here is a lecture that was delivered online on the 4th of ar-Rabee' al-Aakhir 1441 (approx. the 1st of December 2019) by Uways at-Taweel (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) for a previous da'wah organisation called Salafi Dawah India (SDI).

Means to Protect the Children from Shaytan - Raha Batts

Here is a breakdown of a lecture containing 10 points of advice regarding the means to protect our children from Shaytān from the work of Shaykh Dr. Khalid Adh-Dhafiri (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  The full lecture can be found here.

  1. Cultivate your children upon the remembrance of Allah when entering the home and upon eating
  2. Seek refuge in Allāh at the time of intercourse
  3. Make your home a place where the remembrance of Allah is mentioned (i.e. Qur’ān, legislated Adhkār, supererogatory prayers)
  4. Make an abundance of supererogatory prayers in the home and get your children accustomed to praying them (i.e. Sunan Rawātib, Duhā, Witr etc)
  5. Seek refuge in Allāh from Shaytān on behalf of your children with the legislated supplication
  6. Bring the children in to the home when Maghrib comes in
  7. Recite Surah al-Baqarah in the home frequently
  8. Do not keep pictures of living things (i.e. humans, animals) in the home as this repels the presence of the Angels
  9. Do not raise dogs in the home as pets; this repels Angels from entering the home
  10. Accustom yourself and your children to remember Allāh when leaving the home
