The Rights of Brotherhood - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

The believers are brothers in Religion just as Allāh has described them in the Qur’an: “The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy.” (Al-Hujurāt, 10)

Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Do not be jealous of one another, do not artificially inflate prices against one another, do not harbor hatred against one another, do not turn desert one another, one of you should not enter into a transaction when the other has already entered into it; rather be brothers one to another and servants of Allah. A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim. He does not wrong him, and does not desert him, nor despise him. Piety is found here [pointing three times to his chest; despising his Muslim brother is enough of an evil for any man to fall into. Every Muslim’s blood, property and honor are unlawful to be violated by another Muslim.” (Related by Muslim. See Bulooghul-Marām 1539)

Anas Ibn Malik (radiAllahu anhu) narrated from Allāh’s Messenger (sallallaahu alahi wa sallam) that he said: “None amongst you believes (truly) until he loves for his brother” – or he said “for his neighbour”“that which he loves for himself.” (Muslim, 45)

Bearing the above in mind, here are those two excellent lectures by our Ustadh Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered at the beginning of January 2015 that have been digitally cleaned for the purpose of improving the overall listening experience, in shaa Allah.  May Allah reward our ustadh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) immensely for all of his noble efforts, Aameen.

There were possibly 3 lectures in this series, but I have only ever been able to find two of them.

May Allah enable us to fully benefit from that which we hear and learn Aameen

Here is a beautiful benefit from a series of lectures containing many benefits delivered by our brother Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) titled: Imaam Ibnul-Jawzee Advises His Son

On the SalafiSound.com website it states: "An excellent two part lecture delivered by Abu Hakeem Bilaal Davis wherein Imaam Ibnul-Jawzee writes a beautiful, heart-wrenching advice to his son who he sees straying from the path and from good conduct. Winter Conference 2013: “Nurturing The Family and Keeping Our Youth Steadfast Upon The Sunnah.” A talk that hits the mark for any parent trying their best to cultivate their children as they get older. Listen in!"

I say to you all, that it will hit every concerned parent's heartstrings when thinking about their own children who may be making or have made some extremely bad choices in their lives.

To all our beloved children who may be possibly reflecting over their decision-making process with regards to the path they are currently pursuing or thinking of pursuing, have a listen to just this one clip and maybe, if Allah wills, reflect over some of the life choices you have or are thinking of making!  It's just under 10 minutes in length, I am not asking for too much of your time, just 10 minutes is all I ask for!

May Allah guide us and our offspring to the path that only pleases Him, Aameen.

The Heart's Light & Life - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

This audio was found on the YouTube Channel of Umm Uthmaan al-Majariyyah (may Allah have mercy upon her).

Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) continues to explain Ibnul Qayyim's book, that the light, which is knowledge (of the Deen of Allaah), and life, which is action (upon that knowledge), is the source of all good in the heart which gives it life, strength, and happiness.

And that it all goes back to two things, which are capacity and the ability to understand, conceptualize, and grasp things. And, secondly, the ability to want it, love it and intend it. Everything in the heart goes back to these 2 things.

A person's grasp of the truth and reality, and a person's desire of what is beneficial for him or what is harmful to him according to his situation.

It has been digitally edited to clean up a considerable amount of the background noise they contained.
