Get Rid of Some Baggage to be Able to Make some Changes - Abu Suhailah ’Umar Quinn

Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) says: "The most important thing that a person can do is learn his religion and change his environment.

The ulema they say, there is a principle that the religion is built up, that you have to get of somethings before you can make proper changes and put other things in their place.  You have to get rid of some things, you have to get rid of some baggage.  You have to get rid of that which is standing between you and changing your life..."

How many times have we tried to make changes, not being successful?  You're trying your utmost to change your life but keep falling back into the same or similar situations time and time again?

This benefit was extracted from the lecture titled: The Multi-Billion Dollar Organisations That ‘Dumb You Down’.

Listen to this benefit from a soon to be released audio, in shaa Allah!

Birthdays - Abul-Hasan Malik

There is a lecture on this issue delivered by Abul-Hasan Malik (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) on this important subject matter that is often misunderstood by Muslims who continue to make excuses for its practice.  After listening to this lecture (with an open heart) you will, in shaa Allah see it impermissibility for Muslims to participate in such events.  So, how much worse is celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

We often hear, about the rights of the neighbours, the neighbours to our homes is what is most often understood, but what about the neighbours of the most important of places to the Muslims, the Masaajid [pl. of Masjid], the Houses of Allah.  In this clip Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), covers this very important issue during the 7th class in the explanation of the 15th hadeeth of an-Nawawee's 40 Hadeeth, originally recorded at al-Masjid al-Awwal in Pittsburgh (USA) on 1437.10.26.

Neighbourly Rights - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

From time-to-time, I come across a lecture that I would consider to be a gem.  It was delivered and missed by many only to disappear into one of the archives on a website and not to be seen (Allah knows best) for a very long time, except by a few individuals.

This is one such lecture.  It was delivered at Masjid Rahmah, Newark, NJ, by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) as part of a weekend series titled: Prophetic Narrations on Manners

Rights of neighbours and their relative rights in a more practical daily manner.  Listen carefully, for he may be describing you and your behaviour.

The audio has been edited and cleaned up to improve its overall quality.

Here is a question that was asked many years ago to Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree (rahimahullah Ta'ala) through Miraath.net on the important question regarding the education of Muslim children in the west.

The response of our Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) shows the level of his insight into such affairs.  May Allah preserve our Shaykh upon khair and give him good health, Aameen.

Eid becomes a Fashion Show, Fear Allah! - Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee

This benefit has been extracted from a khutbah delivered by Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) during the final days of Ramadaan titled: Don't be a Part-Time Muslim.

In it, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gives some parting advice for the ending of Ramadaan and the coming of the day of Eid.

A small point that he mentions is about the approach of some of our sisters, in the way they dress when coming out to the musalla to attend the eid prayer.

A reminder for our sisters and their guardians, due to the responsibility they have been given over them by Allah.

Although the reminder is related to the time of Eid. It must be noted that the matter is applicable at all other times too.

22 Principles Regarding Innovation & its People - Abdulilah Lahmami

On the 1st of Jumaadaa Al-Oolaa 1438 (corresponding to 29th January 2017) Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentions that he will be going over 22 points from a risalah (treatise) by Imam Abu Nassar Ubaydullah ibn Saeed Ibn Haatim al-Waylee al-Bakri as-Sijzee (Died: 444 H.) (rahimahullah Ta'ala) that were derived by Shaykh Khalid Ibn Dahwi adh-Dhafiri (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

This lecture was posted on the Masjid Daar us Sunnah website.

Of the 22 points mentioned in the title, only 10 were actually covered during the lecture.

The article was initially intended by Imam as-Sijzee (rahimahullah Ta'ala) to refute those people who do not affirm the speech of Allah.

Lecture
Extracted Principles

1 - Know who Ahlus-Sunnah are, be with Them & Aid Them
2 - The Innovators do not have Proof from Qur’an & Sunnah that is with the Correct Understanding
3 - They (People of Innovation) Reject Narration that are Ahad
4 - An Aalim who Clarifies the Truth is Praiseworthy
5 - The Innovators Outwardly Convey what they don’t Really Believe
6 - It is not to be said that a Person of Innovation is an Imaam
7 - Every Time you Find an Innovator Closer to Ahlus-Sunnah, His Harm is Greater
8 - Reviling the Scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah, is from the Ways of Ahlul-Bid’ah
9 - Debating with the Innovators in Public Gatherings is not from the Way of Ahlus-Sunnah
10 - There is no Harm in Mentioning the Affair of the Innovators in Public
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
