This lecture was delivered on the 19th of October 2020 by Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that was originally posted on YouTube in 5 separate parts by Masjid Ibad-ur-Rahman.  It was later moved to their official Spreaker account.

I have downloaded all 5 parts and put them into one single audio file, editing out some of the excessive background noise before posting it below, barak Allahu feekum.

During the khutbah delivered on the 2nd of September 2022 at Masjid Salafi, titled: Those Who Seek Leadership & Status, Abu Idrees Muhammad (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) covered the following points:

• The dispraised nature of seeking authority and position. 
• The consequences of seeking leadership. 
• The Prophet ﷺ advised regarding being placed in authority over two people. 
• Shame and regret on the Day of Judgement. 
• The nature of mankind is to have an eagerness for leadership and status. 
• Not giving position and authority to the one who seeks it. 
• The characteristics of the one who seeks leadership.
• The golden words of Fuḍayl ibn ‘Iyād (رحمه الله).

At the end of a lecture titled: Shaykh Muqbils Advice To The Sunni To Be Firm And Resolute In These Times, delivered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullalh Ta'ala), several questions were asked. This is the second of them:

During the second part of his lecture series at the Salafi Publications National Conference 2022 titled:The Six Stages of Seeking Knowledge According to the Scholars delivered on the 27th of August 2022 by Uways at-Taweel hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) mentioned some extremely important points that we should all take note of on the very important yet dangerous subject matter. 

I honestly have no idea where the following benefit from Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) has been extracted from.  At this moment in time, that is irrelevant.  What is relevant is the importance of the principle that he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) lays down with it.  Words that should be written in gold and noted down by everyone.  Then, from time to time we should all refer back to it, reflect and contemplate over its meaning.
