Repentance - Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee

It is never too late to return back to Allah.  Shaytan has a plan and part of it is to make the humans despair and lose hope in the mercy of their creator.

With the coming of Dhul-Hijjah and the 10 most virtuous days, it contains.  Here is an opportunity for us to rectify some of those wrongs and reconnect with Allah.

Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered a lecture on the 22nd of June 2022 at Masjid Ibn Baaz, South Philly. In which he addresses many issues related to the subject matter of repentance.  This audio has been taken from his official Telegram channel.

Is Music from Magical Speech? - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

The question, in a nutshell, is:  Is music a type of magjic?

Here is another excellent benefit from Abul-'Abbas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

This benefit has been extracted from Lesson 70: The Various Types and Branches of Magic from the series titled: Kitaab at-Towheed delivered at al-Masjid al-Awwal.

Should you Pray Seated when the Imam is Praying Seated? - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

While extracting a benefit that was previously posted, titled: So, You Missed the Rukoo'? Don't Just Stand There! I came across this benefit.

The scenario is as follows:

You go to the masjid to pray and the imam who is leading the prayer is praying seated due to some football injury.  How do you follow him in the prayer?  Do you pray seated like him or stand in those parts of the prayer that you would usually stand in?

In this benefit, Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) explains what is to be done in detail.  Plenty of benefits can be taken from this part of class 35 of the Umdat al-Ahkaam series delivered at al-Masjid al-Awwal on the 17th of Dhul-Qi'dah 1437.
Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Hearts Blinded by Partisanship Cannot Accept the Quran's Rulings - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

In this benefit Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) taken from lecture number 43 titled: The Prohibition of Unjust Suspicion from the series: 130 Hadeeth on Manners, to address a pressing issue that was and still is troubling many people who have stumbled about in recent fitnahs.

According to the Book of Allah, the one who accuses a Muslim of fornication or adultery is an untrustworthy disobedient person.

Some people refuse this ruling and defend such a slanderer in his oppression, thinking their revered figure to be above the Quran and untouchable.

This is nothing but the very ghuluw (fanaticism) that every Muslim must be on guard against.

Hours of Satanic Seclusion - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

Here is another important, timely reminder for the time that we live in, from Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

It has been extracted from  [20] Tafseer Lesson 10: Verses 17-20 of Soorah Ghaafir from the recent series of lessons recorded at al-Masjid al-Awwal, titled: 1443 Ramadhaan Lessons (Vol.5)

The lesson was recorded live on 1443.09.09.

In this benefit, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) is explaining verse 19 of Soorah Ghaafir:

يَعْلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ ٱلْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى ٱلصُّدُورُ ١٩

Allah ˹even˺ knows the sly glances of the eyes and whatever the chests conceal.

May Allah protect us all, Aameen!

The Masjid is not a Men's Lodge! - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) said:

"...Here we would like to remind ourselves with something that has been mentioned before and that is not a men's lodge and brotherhood that doesn't include a sisterhood.  That the brothers are the brothers of their sisters in Islam and when it comes to advice about marriage, this commonly takes place between brothers, that someone recommends a brother that he knows for marriage and remains silent about the negative things, because that's my man, he's one of the brothers!  We want to help the brothers get married as if the women are not our sisters.  As if the women aren't in need of knowing those defects, those faults and the possible harms that they have to, not only become a partner with under the authority of this man, as a husband.  What Khianah, what a betrayal,..."

Now, listen to this excellent reminder that he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave during the 40 Hadeeth of Imam an-Nawawee, classes, hadeeth 17 - The Whole Religion is Naseehah (Part 6)

Recorded at al-Masjid al-Awwal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA) on 1437.03.22

The benefit has been extracted from its source audio and then been digitally edited to remove a large amount of background noise.

Watching Pornography - Is There No Fear In Your Heart? - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

In this benefit from Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) addresses the issue of pornography and its addiction to it.  Be it, in the land of the Muslims or other than them.

He discusses the different rulings related to you seeing a popup that just appeared on your phone or tablet and an individual who deliberately chooses to sit over a substantial amount of time watching such things purposefully.

Imagine your fear if you were watching such things and a family member was to catch you doing this.  This is the fear you should have,  knowing that Allah is watching you all of the time.  If you do not have such fear in your heart, then you need to think more deeply about why this is the situation.

If you are such an individual that you make excuses for yourself when challenged about this behaviour, then you may be in need of some serious help!
