This is a khutbah that was delivered by Ustadh Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala)on the 8th of November 2013 and was posted on his website.

I have taken the audio and digitally remastered it to remove some of the background noise, and now present it here for you to benefit from, walhamdulillah.

In it, he talks about the virtues of the month of Muharram and the great reward for fasting on the day of Aashoora as well as the day before it (the 9th of Muharram).

Ustadh Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) wrote: In this short yet substantial tract of ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala), he pens a message of heartfelt advice and appreciation to a friend of his by the name of 'Alā' Al-Dīn; invoking Allāh's Kindness, Guidance & Blessing upon him. Within this translation of 'Risalatu ibn al-Qayyim ila' Ahadi Ikhwāwanihi', the author explains the finer points of having a need in seeking Allāh's Guidance in all of our affairs and the means to persist upon the Straight Path. The risalah includes six weighty elements by which a Muslim can achieve happiness and pleasure; and through which righteousness can be perfected.

The knowledge-based content of the book reflects ibn al-Qayyim's attention to detail while explaining it in an easy to understand manners, it's modelled as sincere advice to his friend that will, of course, be of wider benefit to all who read it IN SHA ALLAH. He commented that "if you come to know what I have explained (in this message), you will then know that the ultimate pleasure, perfect delight and rejoice, grace and good life are found only in knowing Allāh, worshipping Him alone, feeling comfort and affability with Him, longing to meet Him, and devoting the heart and endeavors for Him."

On Saturday the 13th of July 2019,  Markaz Ibn Seereen in Bristol hosted their first (one day) Islamic conference. The subject matter covered was the famous treatise in Creed (Aqeedah) "The Four Fundamental Principles" by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn AbdulWahaab.

Ustadh Abu Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered a Q&A session.  The following is a summary of one of those questions.

Here is an excellent benefit extracted from a series of lectures titled: Judging Oneself before One Is Judged, delivered by Ustadh Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

Highlighting the importance of what lead to misguidance,  He mentions that Shaykh Hammad al-Ansaaree (rahimahullah Ta'ala) said:  "The fitnah of these times is not like the fitnah of the time before. The fitnah of these times is greater than the fitnah of the Khalq al-Quran..."
