Two Things NOT to do as a Student of Knowledge - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

We often hear about the characteristics that a student of knowledge should have.  In a lecture that I previously posted titled: The Six Characteristics of a Successful Student of Knowledge by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) identified more than 6 characteristics.

One thing that people may have missed is, that he also highlighted several that they should avoid.    Here is that extremely beneficial extracted benefit, barak Allahu feekum!
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

The Six Characteristics of a Successful Student of Knowledge - Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson

Here is an excellent lecture by Abul-'Abbaas Moosaa Richardson (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) possibly back in 2012.  I actually found this audio on YouTube.

A great lecture on the six important characteristics all seekers of knowledge should adorn themselves with.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

One Day Series of Lectures on Prayer by Germantown Masjid

When I post audio, why do we reference back, where possible, to where the original file can be found?  The first reason for this is to be fully transparent and show that it isn't originally my audio. I (in most cases) have taken the audio, with the permission of the person or daw'ah organisation that originally presented it. I also want people to compare the original audio and my edited version to judge the difference in quality. I try my best to improve the quality of audios that may have been forgotten over time.  Giving them a "new lease of life."  Bring them "alive" once more for the people to benefit from.   When I finish editing an audio file, I attach an image of the official logo of Salafi Audio Unlimited to it, to show that this is an edited file.

The lectures that I present to you today are found on the official SoundCloud account of Germantown Masjid.  There are four in total as you will see below.  I leave you to be the judges of their quality.

We ask Allah that he keeps us sincere in our efforts, Aameen.

1 - Importance of the Congregation - Abu Adam Jameel Finch
3 - Danger in Neglecting the Prayer - Hasan as-Somali
4 - Solace and Comfort in Prayer - Hasan as-Somali
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

During the following reminder, Love for the Sake of Allah, Shaykh Arafat  ibn Hasan al-Muhammadi (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:

Is it permissible to study in a mixed university for the ultimate goal of making hijrah?

He hafidhahulalh Ta'ala) gave the following concise answer, that was translated by Abu Ishaaq Nadeem Ahsan-Shah (hafidhahullah Ta'ala):
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Addressing the Hujjaj - Importance of Tawheed & Sunnah - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

Most of the lectures of Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) are in excess of more than 30 years old.

What they may be lacking in digital quality they make up content for the one who wishes to benefit from them.

Here is a lecture that was delivered in al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to the people who had come for Hajj.

May Allah shower the Shaykh in His mercy, Aameen.

Brotherhood & Unity Upon the Sunnah - Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam

Here is an audio that was recently sent to me by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) informed me that this is a short kalimah to the brothers of Cotabato City, Philippines.  That was delivered in September 2022.

It has been edited before being posted below, walhamdulillah!

Fasting on Saturdays - Hamzah Abdur-Razzaq

Here is an excellent lecture that I found on the internet by Hamzah Abdur-Razzaq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) with regards to the subject matter of singling out Saturdays specifically for fasting.  A very detailed lecture in this subject matter containing many benefits.

With regard to this matter of fasting on a Saturday that there could be several scenarios:

1– It may be that obligatory, such as observing a Ramadan fast during Ramadan or making it up later on, or observing a fast as expiation (kaffarah), or instead of offering a sacrifice when performing Hajj tamattu’, and so on.

2– If he fasts on the Friday before it.

3– If it happens to be one of the days when it is prescribed to fast, such as Ayyam al-Beed (the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Hijri month), ‘Arafah, ‘Ashura, six days of Shawwal for one who has fasted Ramadan, and the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah.

4– When it happens to be a day when he habitually fasts, such as a person whose habit is to fast alternate days, and the day that he fasts happens to be a Saturday.

5– If he singles it out to observe a voluntary fast for one day only. This is what is forbidden.

May Allah enable us to fully benefit from that which we hear, Aameen.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
