Concise Advice from Abul-‘Aaliyah - Abu Suhailah ‘Umar Quinn

We have all heard this advice time and time again.  Yet, often we won't even give it a second thought. 17 seconds, that's all it is!  Don't just listen to the words that Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) narrates for Abul-'Aaliyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) from the Tabi'een adivised. Rather, reflect and contemplate over the much deeper mean and the apply it to your own life to see how close or far your reality is from it.

It was extracted from lecture that I posted titled: Learn Your Religion.

Possibly the most famous narration from Abul-ʿAaliyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) is the following, where he said:

"There are two blessings I have been blessed with, I know not which of them is greatest: that Allah guided me to Islam, and that he did not make me a Ḥaruri (from the Khawarij extremists)." [Abdur-Razzaq as-Ṣanʿani, al-Muṣannaf, Hadith 18667]

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Learn Your Religion - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

Another extremely beneficial reminder from Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) about the oath that we took with Allah, testifying to the fact that He is our Lord.  We testified to this.  The purpose being that when we meet Him once more, we have no excuse about not knowing this.

This the purpose for which the prophets and messengers were sent.  To educate us about Allah and His right to be worshipped alone..

it has been digitally edited before being posted below, walhamdulillah.

Six Things That Lead a Person Astray - Hasan as-Somali

We have been ordered to worship Allah by obeying his commands.  This is from al-Fitrah (natural inclination) to worship him alone and stay away from that which opposes it.

Part of al-Fitrah is loving the truth and detesting and hating falsehood because the truth is sweet, it is delicious to the heart and falsehood is bitter to the soul. There is light upon the truth for all those that want to see it.

Of the things that lead people astray is Jahl (ignorance).  Ignorance allows falsehood to spread like a fire will spread in the forest.

Now, listen to how Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in this short but concise khutbah brings 6 things that lead a person astray.

Reasons why people go astray:
1 - al-Jahl (Ignorance):
2 - al-Khawf (Fear):
3 - al-Kibr (Haughtiness & Arrogance):
4 - al-Hasad (Envy & Jealousy):
5 - Mixing with People Upon Falsehood:
6 - Sins:

Making Sacrifices for the Sake of Allah - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

This is a lecture that causes an individual to reflect upon their lives and sacrifices for the religion of al-Islam and ultimately for the purpose of Seeking His Face (for His pleasure) alone.  Delivered in the unique style that is only Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

May Allah enable us to benefit from that which we hear, Aameen.

Good Deeds will Save you from Loss - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

There is a time that will come to us all.  When we leave this world, that is when we will be taken into account.  Will we be from the successful ones or from those that will suffer a great loss due to that which we put forward towards our hereafter?

Here is a lecture that was delivered on the 31st of January 1992 by the Noble Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (may Allah have mercy upon him), dealing with this issue.  He comprehensively covers this topic in his unique style of deliverance.

May Allah shower the Shaykh in His all-encompassing mercy and forgive him for his shortcomings, Aameen.  May He enable us to benefit fully from this reminder by one of the great Ulema of this time, from the contemporaries of Shaykhs Ibn Baaz, al-Albaanee, Ibn al-'Uthaymeen, (may and others (may Allah have mercy upon them all, Aameen).

What I have done is slow the lecture down by about 10% of its actual speed to make it a little easier for the listeners.

Where Allah's Messenger Reached on the Night of Ascension - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

In the lecture titled: Refutation of Shirk & What is a Taghut by Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was asked to explain where the Messenger of Allah ascended to during the Night of Ascension in light of the Quran and Sunnah.

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Refutation of Shirk & What is a Taghut - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

From time to time, I come across an audiotape that I have had lying around in a cassette box for many years (sometimes more than 20 years).  I take it out of the box and put it in the tape player.  It sounds fairly clear, bearing in mind that it is so old and before the time of digital audio.

I have some time on my hands so I decide to convert the tape to MP3.  Once it is an MP3 file, I can start playing around with its sound quality.  Firstly, what needs to be done is to level out the recording.  Then, reduce the background noise, which is often the case with really old tapes as the quality of the recording was not that good all those years ago.

But, whilst doing this you have to be careful that you don't destroy the quality of the audio file.

Eventually, if Allah will, you can get it to the stage where it is presentable enough to be released I approach some of our brothers with regards to the title that is found on the cassette label.  We then settle on a suitable title.  In the case of audio such as the lectures of Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) I tend to slow the speed of the audio down by about 10% which helps the listener considerably to understand what the Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) is saying.

So, from tape to MP3, to editing of noise & quality, and finally the levelling out of its audio levels you reach the stage of being able to release the audio.  Sometimes, the tape may be incomplete as they were usually 60 or 90 minutes in length.

Here, by the permission of Allah, I present the result of all that work to you, whilst humbly asking my maker to accept it from me.

The Rights of Leadership is for the Righteous & Pious Believers - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

There is an excellent lecture that I have digitally remastered with the permission of Allah.  On this very important matter that many, if not most people are ignorant about delivered by Shaykh Abu Muhammad Badee Uddin Shah as-Sindee ar-Rashidee (rahimahullah Ta'ala).
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Why Our Dawah is not Affective - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

This is a khutbah that was delivered on this very important subject matter by the noble Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

In this khutbah he (rahimahullah Ta'ala).defines some very important factors that prevent our dawah from being as successful as it could be, such as telling stories that may not be factual. Think about what you are calling to by highlighting the blessings of Allah upon the people.
