On the 11th of October 2021, Ustadh Hamzah Abdur-Razzaq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) took the microphone at the end of the Weekly Family Lecture: Some Benefits of Patience by Ibn Al Qayyim to encourage fundraising for Masjid Ibn Baaz, South Philadelphia.

I downloaded the video, by the permission of Allah and edited its sound.  I then requested permission from Abu Muadh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) to allow me to post the lecture out.  He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave me his permission, walhamdulillah. So, I present it here to you.

May Allah reward him and those involved in the affairs of their dawah immensely for all of their noble efforts, Aameen.

It is unanimously agreed by all scholars without exception that the act of celebrating the mawlid is a bidah (innovation) that was never found amongst the first three generations, the Righteous Salaf. This is agreed upon even by those who favour it or incline towards it and defend it. Those who speak in its favour - after agreement about its innovatory nature - have nothing but weak arguments and invalid analogies squarely contradicted by their strong encouragements and enticements to strictly follow the Sunnah and the way of the Salaf. We hear the hadeeth that mention hearing and obeying the rulers.   The conspiracy theorists think that these hadeeths were incorporated by those who want us to serve their purpose.  So much so that they incorporated these hadeeths into Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, which leads us to spend hours looking into the Illuminati, trying to establish their conspiracy theories. Wasting so much time.

I came across this benefit on YouTube, in which Ustadh Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentions that people go so deep into spending so much time in this affair, taking them away from studying that knowledge that will protect them against any such conspiracies.

On Jumu'ah of the 23rd of Rajab 1440 (corresponding with 29th March 2019), we held an istiraha for families in Jeddah and were honoured with the presence of Shaykh Saalim Bamihriz (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

The Shaykh is originally from Yemen but resides in the city of Riyadh.  It should be noted that the Shaykh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) is over 70 years old.

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) arrived just after salatul-Asr and sat outside with the brothers in a very relaxed and informal manner discussing various aspects of the religion.

After praying Salatul-Maghrib, the Shaykh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave a kalimah to those present, that continued well after Salatul-Isha.

It should be noted that this kalimah was translated by our beloved brother Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) who was also at the istiraha that took place with Shaykh Abdullah al-Bukhari (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).
