Who was Shaykh Abdul-Qaadir al-Jilaani (rahimahullah Ta'ala)?  The reality is that the Soofi's of today claim that he is theirs.  Some go to the extreme of setting out worship for him, calling upon him and slaughtering for him.  

Once, when I visited Pakistan, I asked an individual who this Abdul-Qaadir al-Jilaani was that he kept calling upon.  He said:  "Don't you know him?  He was a prophet." 

Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in lesson 7 of his al-Uboodiyyah series of lessons, introduces us briefly to one of our scholars from the Salaf.  An Imam of the Hanabilah (he followed the Fiqh methodology of the Hanbali's).  An individual who was upon the 'Aqeedah of Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

Many groups claim that they are following the revelation sent down by Allah (subanahu wa Ta'ala) and the fact that their way is the only way to salvation.  Here the noble Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) highlights the dishonesty of some of those people who claim that they have the truth resulting in them misleading the people and not fulfilling their obligations of conveying the religion as it has been legislated.

In this lecture, the Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) mentioned what he witnesses from the fruits of the da'wah of Shaykh Jameel-ur-Rahman al-Afghanee  (rahimahullah Ta'ala), the leader of the Mujahideen during the Afghanistan/Russia war in Kunar, Afghanistan.

Listen to what he describes as being the fruits of the da'wah of this great Salafi Mujahid. Shaykh Jameeli-ur-Rahman al-Afghanee (rahimahullah Ta'ala) for his establishment of the Tawheed of Allah and for spreading this blessed da'wah, specifically during the Afghan/Russian war.

The Shaykh was assassinated in his home.  Many Salafi Mashaykh including Shaykh Muqbil ibn Haadee (rahimahullah Ta'ala) has delivered lectures about Shaykh Jameel's efforts.

There is also a  very famous telephone conversation that took place between Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen and Shaykh Jameel-ur-Rahman (in Arabic) that I hope to present here soon.

Here is a question that was answered by Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) during a Q&A session that took place in Islamabad on the 23rd of September, 2023.

The question asked was as follows:

I am a teacher by profession and I spend some time in my lecture of teaching the basics of Islam however, I’m hired for teaching my subject is this right?
