Innovations Related to Funerals - Shaykh al-Albani - Anwar Wright

Recently, over approximately 8 months and 24 lectures, Abu Suhayl Anwar Wright (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) finished teaching a series at Germantown Masjid titled:Summarized Rulings on Funeral Rights from the book of Shaykh al-Albani (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

At the end of this series, he (hafidhxahullah Ta'ala) reads the 241 innovations related to this subject matter, that the shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) noted in his book, while occasionally bringing additional benefits.

I have included the translator's (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) introduction to the final section (appendix) that has been included at the end of the book. This is followed by Shaykh al-Albani (rahimahulllah Ta'ala)'s explanation of his methodology in writing this book's final section.

After this, I have taken this section of benefits and broken them down into individual sections of innovations and posted them below.

1 - Innovations Related to Funerals - Translators Introduction
5 - Washing the Deceased 6 - Shrouding and Taking the Deceased to Be Prayed Upon
10 - Visiting the Graves
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Virtues of the Sahabah from Saheeh Muslim - Shaykh 'Umar ibn Muhammad Fallatah [Arabic Only]

Here are some excellent quality lectures titled: فضائل الصحابة (Virtues of the Sahabah) taken from the Explanation of Saheeh Muslim of Shaykh ‘Umar ibn Muhammad Fallatah (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

I have taken the original audio files and cleared up some of the background noise, by the permission of Allah.

The first four audios are about Abu Bakr as-Sideeq (radiAllahu anhu), followed by 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (radiAllahu anhu) and there are a total of 97 MP3's in the series, concluding with the virtues of Salmaan al-Farisee (radiAllahu anhu).

They are all in Arabic but that shouldn't in any way discourage you from downloading the full collection.  Load them on to your MP3 and listen to them.

This is one set of lectures that would possibly come very close to the top, if not at the very top of my “MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED LIST OF ALL TIME!” if I had one.

So, the links can all be found neatly organised for you to download from, the rest is up to you!

I Only have You - Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan

I have recently undertaken a project to release as many translated questions asked of Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan (rahimahullah Ta'ala) as possible.

Starting on this journey I have taken about a dozen lessons from the Explanation of Kitab at-Tawheed that he delivered to the westerns in Riyadh and begun extracting individual questions for release.

Here is the second of the 12 questions translated by Mustafa George (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) during the lecture:

The questioner is asking, if a parent said to their child, I only have you.  Is this term considered from shirk?

Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan (rahimahullah Ta'ala) responded with the following answer:

The Destruction of the Abbasid Khilafah by the Mongols & Treacherous Shi'a - Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid

Here is an extremely beneficial lesson (benefit) from Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) during his lesson teaching the explanation of Sharh-us-Sunnah of Imaam al-Barbahaaree,  on the history of the destruction of the Abbasid Khilafah by the Mongols and the support they received from the treacherous Shi'a.

A truly insightful reminder for us with regards to the importance of keeping righteous company and having righteous advisers.

Postponing Marriage to Acquire a Degree or Financial Stability - Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid

Here is a benefit from Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that I found on the Manhaj Al-Haqq (منهج الحق) YouTube channel.

A very important piece of advice for the brothers and sisters looking for marriage.

He's Interested in Your Daughter for Marriage, Forget the Meeting! - Abu Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid

The following question is one of many that have been extracted from a lecture that I found on the YouTube channel of Umm Uthmaan al-Majariyyah (may Allah have mercy upon her).

In this particular piece of audio, Abu Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following:

"I have a daughter who is 16 and we have had a marriage proposal for her from a Salafi brother. I know my daughter can see and meet this individual according to the Sunnah with her walee (guardian) present. My question is, what part does the mother play in such a meeting, and is she also present?"

Here is his response, get yourself ready for it!
