At the end of the second part of the lecture which I titled: Returning to the Fundamentals of the ReligionShaykh Saalim Bamihriz (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) answered some questions that were put forward.

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked: When someone slips or trips, is it from the Sunnah to say Bismillah?

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Refutation of the Poem - Qasidah Burdah - Abdulilah Lahmami

This piece of audio was originally posted by Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) on the Markaz Muaadh YouTube Channel on the 13th of June 2013.

It is a very important refutation that needs to be revived from time-to-time due to its refutation of this work full of Shirk al-Akbar (major polytheism).

It has been taken, digitally remastered & is being presented here, walhamdulilah.

Eating in Restaurants which Serve Alcohol - Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree

This recording has been taken from the Miraath Publications website & has been digitally remastered (a little) to remove a little echo & background noise, walhamdulilah.

Shaykh 'Ubayd Al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:

Is it permissible to eat in a restaurant where they serve alcohol?

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer which was translated by Ustadh Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala):
Transcription of the answer:

It is apparent that the owner of this restaurant must be a disbeliever and if he happens to be a Muslim, then he is of the sinners. This is because if one fears Allaah he wouldn’t sell alcohol in a restaurant or anywhere else. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam has cursed ten people regarding alcohol and from them is the one who buys it, the one who carries it, the one who sells it, and other than them. So it is clear that it is not allowed to sit in places where alcohol is being drunk. However, if those who enter a restaurant which sells alcohol are not able to go anywhere else because they are Musaafirun (travelers) and there are no other local restaurants which do not sell alcohol then I see that it is not a problem eating there; however, if there are other restaurants there which do not sell alcohol then it is upon them that they should only eat in the restaurants which do not serve alcohol.

What is the Ruling on Visiting the Dead Sea? - Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree

This recording has been taken from the Miraath Publications website & has been digitally remastered (a little) to remove a little echo & background noise, walhamdulilah.

Shaykh 'Ubayd Al-Jaabiree (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:

If we have difficulties with our husband, can we speak to other sisters for advice? How can this be achieved without backbiting?

He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer which was translated by Abbas Abu Yahya (hafidhahullah Ta'ala):
Transcription of the answer:

The Shaykh (hafidhahullaah) responded by saying that I presume the reason for this question is what is widespread amongst the people, which is well known amongst the people and related to the people, that the (bahr al mayit) the Dead Sea which is in Jordan, is the place or the village of the people of Lut (alayhis sallam). And we know from the hadeeth of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), where he prohibited that a person should go to places where a group or nation has been destroyed and punished (by Allaah). If he does go past that place, then he should pass through it quickly.[1]

The prohibition from the Prophet (ﷺ), which is that if one passes through these places that he should cry or at least pretend to cry. The Shaykh says we do not have any yakeen (certainty) that this was the actual place. So due to that, there is nothing to prevent somebody from visiting this place for tourism nor anything to prevent a person from using the products made from the materials or substances from the Dead Sea.

1. Ibn Shihab reported, and he had been talking about the stony abodes of Thamud, and he said: Salim b. ‘Abdullah reported that ‘Abdullah b. Umar said, We were passing along with Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) through the habitations of Hijr, and Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: Do not enter but weepingly the habitations of these persons who committed tyranny among themselves, lest the same calamity should fall upon you as it fell upon them. He then urged his mount to proceed quickly and pass through that valley hurriedly. Saheeh Muslim [2980b]

(ﷺ) sallAllaahu alayhi wasallam- May Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace.

as-Salafiyyūn, Really Have to Move On - Abu Umar Farooq

Here is a beautiful benefit from Abu Umar Farooq (rahimahulllah Ta'ala) extracted from a lecture titled:  They Never Made a Just Estimate of Allah as Is Due to Him, which was originally delivered during a dawrah that took place at Markaz Muaadh in 1435, titled: The Belief of Ahlus-Sunnah In Regards to the Beautiful Names & Lofty Attributes of Allah.

He talks about the importance of really taking care of trying to memorise and understand the affairs of the religion. Most of us do not have the ability like the likes of Ibn Taymiyyah and others who were blessed with that knowledge entering into their hearts. The reality is that we are far from that, so what should we be doing in our situation? Listen to the following benefit and then go back to the original audio linked above and listen to the entire lecture, barak Allahu feek!

The Meaning of Guidance & Misguidance - Ibn al-Qayyim - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

Here is a benefit from Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) brings a benefit in the 14 lecture from the series: Forty Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi that highlights that from ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) that contrary to what some people believe, a person being guided or misguided has causes and that a person may be upon righteousness (apparently) and then he later fall in to misguidance and ultimately ends up being a person is destined for the hellfire.

Extreme Dangers of Forbidden Love from Ibn al-Qayyim - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

This benefit from Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) has been extracted from a lecture titled: Starting Relationships Right & the Harms of Haram Relationships from a seminar titled: The Marriage Workshop.

On a previous occasion, I extracted a benefit from the same audio, that preceded this one.  It was titled: Would You Like that for Your Mother or Daughter?  I would advise that you go listen to that benefit first.

Even better, I would advise that you go and listen to the complete lecture, which can be found at the link above.

This benefit has been posted before in its various forms, but this is the clearest one that I have come across to date.

Many fall into such situations, and what is said by Ibn al-Qayyim will ring true for many, if they are truly honest with themselves.  The path that is being traversed is an extremely dangerous one.   The pleasures may be "immense" in the mind of the individual but the outcomes, in this world and the hereafter and also extreme in their applicability.

Blessed is the one who Allah saves from such situations, they may only come to realise this fact when they meet their creator.

May Allah guide all those who have fallen into such trials, and forgive them for their weaknesses. He is the only one who is capable of doing that, Aameen.

Listen, contemplate and implement that which you learn, barak Allahu feekum!

The is a benefit that has been extracted from the lesson 25 from the series titled: 30 Quranic Themes from 30+ Different Verses, delivered during the month of Ramadan 1444  at Germantown Masjid by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

Compare your reality to those that are mentioned in this audio benefit, then take some time to contemplate over your own reality and compare the two.
