We all need it from time to time.  A reality check to bring us back down to the level that we should be focusing on.  

Here is a khutbah by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that delivers that message sound and clear.

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

I am sure you have heard this story before but here it is again.  

The repentance of Shaykh-ul-Islam al-Fudayl ibn 'Iyaad (rahimahulllah Ta'ala).  Narrated in the words of Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  As found in the khutbah titled; You're a Muslim, Right! 

During a lecture titled: The Book of Fasting – Ad-Durrar al Bahiyyah of Imaam Ash-Shawkani the following question was asked of Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala):

Here is one of the many benefits contained within that audio.  Although the advice was specifically aimed at teenage girls it can just as such it can likewise be applied to boys.  

In fact, taking it one step further it can also be applied to us adults.
