The is a lecture that is part of a series delivered weekly to the community of Masjid ibn Baaz, Philadephia on the 20th of December, 2021,   

In it, Hamzah Abdur-Razzaq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivers a wake-up call to the men & women of his community after a shooting took place outside of the masjid.  

The message is, to stop being a (Salafi) father by day and a gangster, and drug dealer by night.  Stop being disobedient to Allah and rectify your affairs with Him.  He tells the women to trust in Allah and not to be "a ride or die  chick."  Allah created you to be a nurturing and kind individual.  A man that loves you, would not put you in harm's way.

Here is a benefit that has been extracted from a lecture titled: Allah Will Not Punish Them Whilst They Seek Forgiveness by Abu Idrees Muhammad (hafidhahullah Ta'ala)). 

In this benefit, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) brings numerous statements from our Salaf regarding the subject matter of Istighfar.

Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Here is a real struggle that we all feel or have felt at some time in our lives. For some, it is a daily struggle, for others, it happened once but that one time felt like an eternity.

It is never too late to return back to Allah.  Shaytan has a plan and part of it is to make the humans despair and lose hope in the mercy of their creator. 

With the coming of Dhul-Hijjah and the 10 most virtuous days, it contains.  Here is an opportunity for us to rectify some of those wrongs and reconnect with Allah.
