The following is one of the questions asked to Shaykh Saaleh ibn Muhammad al-Luhaydaan (rahimahullah Ta'ala) at the end of a Kitab at-Tawheed delivered on the 21st of Rabi al-Awwal 1434 in Riyadh, that was translated for the westerners.

He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:

What is your advice to the brothers who wear shirts, ties and suits and they have the ability to wear thawbs?

He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer that was translated by Mustafa George (hafidhahullah Ta'ala):

At the end of a lecture delivered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in Bradford, titled: Helping Each Other Get to Paradise and Escape Hell, some questions were taken. 

One of them was the following: Advice to someone who lived a long life of sin, but wants to now start practicing?

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer:

May Allah enable us to understand and implement that which we hear, Aameen.

Here is a brief reminder about the fact that the dawah is not in need of us.  Rather, we are in need of the dawah!  It is one of the benefits from a lecture by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) titled: Dawah and Calling to Allah.

How many individuals falsely think that the dawah is in need of them, that if they are not involved the spread and success of it, will be greatly limited.  What a grave misunderstanding this is.
