My Coming to Islam - Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

I was listening to a lecture by Abu Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) n which he was delivering to a non-Muslims audience titled:  What is Islam?

At the end of the lecture someone asked about how (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) he came to Islam.  He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) believed that this question was actually for Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), who had presented the lecture that had preceded.

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentioned that Abu Hakeem (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) had previously given the answer to this question at the beginning of a lecture that he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) had delivered on a previous occasion titled: Islam's Reply to Extremism at Stoke in a 15-minute piece of audio.   Here is that particular piece of audio, walhamdulillah.

The Importance of Preserving Your Time - Shaykh ibn Baaz

You will find several versions of this lecture by Shaykh Abdul-Aziz ibn Baaz (rahimahullah Ta'ala) online.  The one I have chosen to present here is titled as حفظ الوقت وأهميته which can be translated as The Importance of Preserving Your Time.

This recording is just the lecture without the introduction or the Q&A session that took place at the end of the lecture.  It is entirely in Arabic and has been digitally remastered to improve its overall quality, walhamdulillah.

A timely reminder for us all at a time when we see a lot of time being wasted around us and likewise in this time when we are in a state of lockdown in our homes.
May Allah keep us all sincere in our statements and actions, Aameen.

Advice to the One who Graduated but is Not being Put Forward to Teach - Shaykh’s Abdur-Rahman al-Muwasi & Waleed Fullati

Abu Ishaaq Nadeem Ahsan-Shah (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) asked Shaykh Abdur-Rahman al-Muwasi (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) the following question: "There are some students they study in Islamic universities, but they’re not given an opportunity to call, to give da'wah when they go back to their centres, their masjids and  what is your advice therefore, to the masjid and also to those students?"

Upon his completion, Shaykh Waleed Fullati (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked to make some additions.

A very important and valuable piece of advice about the importance of both sincerity and patience with the decree of Allah not seeking notoriety,

The scholar, Shaykh Al-Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) said:

"This is a glad tiding for the students of knowledge: If one intends to seek knowledge, desiring by way of it to benefit others, to defend the sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم and to spread the religion of Allāh upon the Earth, but this has not been decreed for him. For example, if he were to die during his pursuit of knowledge, then indeed the reward of what he intended and sought after will be written for him." - Explanation of Al-Aqīdah Al-Wasitiyyah (2/148) [Source]
