The Reality of Death & Preparing For It - Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan

This is a lecture by Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) which was delivered on the 20th of December 2014 and was posted on the Learn About Islam SoundCloud account. At that time no editing was done to the audio file and it was released as it was recorded.   This time around it has been through the cleanup process and the overall recording level has been increased.

This is one of those lectures that is considered a real eye-opener.  It helps to put things into their real perspective.

In a lecture delivered at Markaz Mu'aadh in Slough, titled: Seven Obstacles in the Path of Seeking  Knowledge by Uways at-Taweel (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentioned seven obstacles which have been broken down below:

Virtues of Knowledge
Obstacle 1 - Not Seeking Knowledge for the Sake of Allah
Obstacle 2 - Not Implementing that which You’ve Learned Obstacle 3 - Relying on Books & Not Sitting & Referring Back to the Scholars
Obstacle 6 - Not Seeking Knowledge in Stages & Putting that which is Important First
Obstacle 7 - Hastiness to Get Result & Being Impatient in Seeking Knowledge

Question 1: How can we teach our parents beneficial knowledge

Question 2 : If someone is new to learning how can they strive in learning the Qur’an and Arabic

Question 3 : Is listening to audios from the scholars and students of knowledge the same as sitting with people of knowledge?
Question 4 : Can you tell us some stories of the scholars you have met?

O Hoarder of Wealth, be Warned! - Hasan as-Somali

You can keep your money with you, for if you didn't use it for the sake of Allah then it may bring about your downfall.  Listen to how Abu Dharr (radiAllahu anhu) understood some very valuable advice from the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam),  Remember the title of this post?

Listen to what Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentioned about giving for the sake of Allah and what level of attachment we should have to this dunya.

For if you are successful in the grave then what comes after it will be easier in the Aakirah and if you are not successful in the grave then what comes after it due to disobedience is even worse than that.

Now is the time to make those moves before the grave becomes your abode.
