Here is a question that was addressed by Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) during a Panel Q&A Session - Cardiff Conference 2016.
The question is as follows:
There is a question here about hadeeth. About the statement of Hudhayfah, about a person does not lose their deen overnight. Someone has asked a question related to the hadeeth, where it mentions that a believer will wake up in the morning as a believer and reach the evening as a disbeliever. Or, reach the evening as a believer and reach the morning as a disbeliever. So, how would you reconcile between these two things?
He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gave the following answer:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
