Here is a benefit from an excellent lecture by Mustafa George (hafidhahulllah Ta'ala) that is concise in its word, yet carries a vast meaning.

The lecture was delivered at Masjid Rahmah during a seminar titled: The Meaning of True Unity  The title of the lecture is: Refraining from Causes of Disunity

It really is a must-listen lecture for us all.  For now, here is that very brief benefit that really needs to be reflected over, barak Allahu feekum!

Explanation of the Description of Umrah by Ibn al-Uthaymeen - Shaykh Khalid Adh-Dhafiree

This is an excellent series of 3 lectures delivered during the first translated conference held in Kuwait.  This series of lectures were delivered by Shaykh Khalid adh-Dhafiree (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) and translated by Raha Batts (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) and were posted on the Riad al Saliheen Islamic Center official website and on their YouTube channel.
In the original recordings the voice of the Shaykh and translator come out of different speakers when you listen to them.  What I have done is to combine the voices so that they can be heard evenly through both speakers.  I have also cleaned out some of the background noise, walhamdulilah.

The recordings that I have used are the ones found on the YouTube channel of Riad al Saliheen Islamic Center.

Benefits from the Character of the Prophet - Jameel Finch

This is a khutbah Jameel Finch (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) brings the following hadeeth:

Narrated Anas bin Malik (radiAllahu anhu): "A Bedouin came and urinated in one corner of the mosque and the people shouted at him, but Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) stopped them, and when he finished urinating, the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) ordered for a bucket of water which was spilt over it." [Agreed upon]

He then goes on to take the explanation of this hadeeth from Shaykh Abdullah al-Bassam (rahimahullah Ta'ala) and bring from it some amazing benefits we could learn a lot from with regards to our behaviour and daily interactions with the people.  An important lesson on weighing up the harms and benefits that can occur in different situations due to the choices that we make in different situations.

We learn about the importance of respecting the masjid. The lofty character of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), how he guided him even after he urinated in the masjid.  How would we have dealt with such an individual?  From a moment of kindness from the prophet, this individual supplicated for himself and the prophet.  We also learn about the importance of insight.  Addressing people in the most effective matter for them.  We also learn about taking the lesser of the two evils when we have limited control in a situation. Staying away from the places of worship allows you to be affected with rudeness and bad character due to being far away from the Book and Sunnah.  That is just the first part of the khutbah.

Finally, I have tried to locate the source of this audio.  I downloaded it when I was in Pakistan.  I have spent several weeks trying to locate where I initially downloaded it from but have been unable to do so.  If you find its source please post its details in the comments below, barak Allahu feekum!
