Getting Maximal Benefit from Your Salafi Community - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

This is a series of lectures that were posted on the Soundcloud account of Masjid Ad Da'wah Ilat Tawheed delivered by Ustadh Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

Like I was, I am sure, many of you may be wondering about the meaning of the title given to this series by its organisers:

Here is a dictionary definition of the word maximal:

adjective
  1. of or constituting a maximum; as great or as large as possible.
    "the maximal speed"
In everyday language, it could be translated as:  "Getting the most out of your Salafi community."

Some of the audio files have been digitally remastered to remove as much of the background noise as reasonably possible, walhamdulillah.

We ask Allah to accept it from us, Aameen.

Once the Khutbah Starts, Put Your Phone Away - Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee

Here is a short (less than a minute) and sweet reminder for us from Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  Extracted from a khutbah titled: Aiding One Another In al-Birr & at-Taqwa.

May Allah enable us to fully benefit from that which we hear, barak Allahu feekum.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Questions Posed on Muhammad al-Jibaly - Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna

This is a series of questions that were asked of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahaab Mazrooq al-Banna (rahimahulllah Ta'ala) the older brother of Shaykh Hasan ibn Abdul-Wahaab Mazrooq al-Banna (rahimahullah Ta'ala) the one most of the Salafees of the West are familiar with. Not to be confused with Hasan al-Banna of al-Ikhwaan-i-Mufliseen.

I remember my grandfather (rahimahullah Ta'ala) telling me that in the '80s an old Egyptian Shaykh came to England with Shaykh al-Albaanee (rahimahulllah Ta'ala) he mentioned that the Shayk lived in Saudi and had really good English.  I believe that was Shaykh Muhammad.  He mentioned that Shaykh had accepted his invitation for either lunch or dinner.

It was initially posted on TROID's official SoundCloud account about a year ago.  It has been digitally edited to remove some background noise.  The Shaykh (rahimahullah Ta'ala) begins by delivering a short and concise admonition on the subject of Manhaj and the science of Jarh wa-Taʿdil (Counterbalancing good and bad points in critique).

Although the recording is not the best in the world, there are many benefits that can be extracted from it for those that have patience.

Can I Wrestle with My Wife? - Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

Here is an example of the sometimes humorous nature of our brother Ustadh Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) as he answers this question, whilst trying to keep a straight face.

This question was extracted from the 1st Q&A session of the  Dawrah ilmiyyah - The Greatness of Allaah Necessitates we Worship Him Alone.  Which I believe took place at Markaz Muaadh bin Jabal in 1435 H. Which was based around the beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah in regards to the beautiful names & lofty attributes of Allah.

May Allah bless him (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) for all of his noble efforts, Aameen.

Reflect During the Changing of the Seasons - Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn

On the 11th of February 2018 at Masjid ad Da'wah Ilat Tawheed a khurbah was delivered by Ustadh Abu Suhailah 'Umar Quinn (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) in which he started with the following:

Then, it was stated by a famous poet before the advent of Islam. His name was Imru'u Qais.  That he said: "When it is summer, people wish for the winter, for the cool weather and when it is cold when the winter arrives, they disapprove! They're not happy with this and they're not happy with that! May mankind perish because of his ingratitude."

The Muslim takes stock of every situation every time of the year with the changing of the seasons.  With everything that a Muslim sees, he can benefit from.  It can be an opportunity for him to increase in faith and get closer to Allah (Tabarak wa Ta'ala).

It was stated by Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah (rahimullah Ta'ala) who was the imam of the people of Makkah, in the third generation of Islam:  "So long as a man has the ability to think and contemplate upon what he sees then he is going to learn a lesson from everything!"

The audio was posted on the masjid's official SoundCloud account
