Showing Off - Abdulilah Lahmami

Here is a khutbah that was delivered at Markaz Muaadh more than 7 years ago by Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  A very concise reminder about being sincere in our speech and actions, avoiding showing off.

The original audio, posted on the masjid's official SoundCloud account, had sound only coming coming thorough the right speaker.  It has been rectified before being posted below, walhamdulillah.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

At the end of a lecture recently delivered on 1st of January  2024 by Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) for SalafiDawah@Reading, that was titled: The Sunnah is like the Ark of Noah.

One of the questions he was asked, was the following: At what point in a person studies, can he begin to look into the grading of hadeeth, such that he can understand what makes a hadeeth saheeh as opposed to da’eef. Is there a book you can recommend?

It Takes Then Out of the Darkness… - Imam as-Sa’di - Fareed Abdullah

Here is a benefit that has been extracted from an excellent lecture by Fareed Abdullah (rahimahulllah Ta'ala), titled: The Foundation Upon which Unity is Built,

In it, he (rahimahullah Ta'ala) brings a point of benefit about the verse where Allah says, "It takes them out of darkness in to the light..."
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

The Prophetic Supplication for the Newly Married Couple - Taalib Abdullah

Have you ever wondered about the  wording of the dua that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) used to make for the newly married couple?
  • Arabic: بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
  • Transliteration: Bārakallāhu laka, wa bāraka ʿalayka, wa jamaʿa baynakumā fī khayr.
  • Translation: "May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness".
Listen to Taalib Abdullah (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), as he explains the reasoning behind the legislated wording of this supplication.

The benefit has been extracted from the khutbah titled: Lessons in Patience.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Lessons in Patience - Taalib Abdullah

Here is a khutbah that was delivered by Taalib Abdullah (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) at Germantown Masjiid, that I found on YouTube.

This is a very hard-hitting lecture that reminds us about the importance of patience in our lives and the results of not having enough of it.

He (hafidhahulah Ta'ala) mentions that you will have to answer questions upon their death that will lead to them being taken account of for their actions.  Whether that be for the murder that they have taken part in of the abuse they have given to their spouses in their marriages and many other situations.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Death - The Destroyer of Lust & Desire - Hasan as-Somali

Here is a lecture by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that is at least 16 years old.  I found it in several parts on YouTube.

This is the thing that puts a stop to all those things that give in to, their lusts and desires.

After putting it together and digitally editing it, it is now being presented here, walhamdulilah.
