At the end of a lecture titled: Shaykh Muqbil؛s Advice To The Sunni To Be Firm And Resolute In These Times, delivered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullalh Ta'ala), several questions were asked.  The first of them was the following:

Society is getting worse day-by-day.  People use to be able to walk the streets in safety.  Now the streets are no longer safe.  So, how can we make a change in this world that we live in?   

At the end of the khutbah delivered at Germantown Masjid titled: Let Us Make A Change... some extremely beneficial advice was given by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gives some benefits about how we can bring about change in our children, before it is too late.

Here is a valuable piece of advice from Abu Idrees Muhammad (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) regarding the importance of having a real objective and plan when wanting to advance your seeking of knowledge.

Here is a benefit from a khutbah by Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahullah Ta'ala) from a khutbah titled: The Forbiddance of Innovations & Newly Invented Matters, in which he (rahimahullah Ta'ala) breaksdown some of the affairs related to the issue of what a bid'ah (innovation) actually is. 

In one of the benefits, he (rahimahullah Ta'ala) explains why an innovation is a going astray.

Here is a benefit that has been extracted from a khutbah that was delivered at Germantown Masjid by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) upon the shooting to death of a 14 year old boy. 

Many people see things going on in their communities that they could do something about if they chose to get involved. He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) gives some reasons as to why we should get involved and what it could achieve.

After Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) had delivered the khutbah titled: Evils of Music & the Music Industry, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) took the microphone again and briefly addressed an issue about a hadeeth which some scholars have raised doubts about its level of authenticity.

Not only are some people deceived by the Shaytaan into participating in the haram act of music but they have the audacity to rap about Islamic themes & concepts.  At the end of the khutbah titled: Evils of Music & the Music Industry by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), he addresses this filthy habit that some rappers have adopted.

On the 26th of September 2025, a khutbah was delivered by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) at Germantown Masjid titled: Attention & Likes for a Moment vs Allāh’s Pleasure for Eternity.

As well as many other benefits, he (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) broke down some of the points about how someone can attain Allah's pleasure by using the (legislated) means.
