Here is a beautiful reminder for us all from Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahullah Ta'ala) about the purpose behind our creation.  It is not all about fun and enjoyment.  There is much more to your purpose of existence,  Truly, an opportunity for us all to reflect.

The following benefit has been extracted from a clip by Raha Batts (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) titled: The Harms of Cigarette Smoking. 

Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question: 

"... An authentic narration has come prohibiting coming close to the masjid or approaching the masjid for one who has eaten garlic or onions. So, does the one who has a repugnant odour and smell upon him such as the smell of cigarettes enter into this ruling?

He (rahimahullah said the following in response:

Here is a benefit that has been extracted from another short benefit titled: The Harms of Cigarette Smoking by Raha Batts (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  In it he mentions some of the harms of the poisons contained with in a cigarette could do to animals.

If this is the case with animals, why would you injest them into your body!

Another beautiful, self-reflection provoking khutbah by Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahulllah Ta'ala), in his totally unique style.

Here is a benefit that has been extracted from a khutbah titled: Be Sincere, that was delivered by Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahulllah Ta'ala).  In it, he mentions some of the characteristics that can found in an individual who we should strive to be like an individual whose desire is Paradise.

In my life I have listened to some amazing lectures by Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala), this is from the most amazing lectures I have ever benefitted from the noble Shaykh.

May Allah enable us to benefit from that which we hear, Aameen.
