The Virtues & Benefits of the Month of Ramadhaan - Shaykh Ibn Baaz - Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali

This was a lecture delivered by  Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahullah Ta'ala) in October of 2004, the month before he passed away (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

From this lecture was born the lecture titled; "We Need a Ramadhaan", during the conference held at Masjid Rahmah.

What happened was that a speaker was scheduled to deliver a lecture during his slot, unfortunately, he was not able to attend.

While he (rahimahullah Ta'ala) and the brothers discussed the issue, they all looked at him (rahimahullah Ta'ala) and he (rahimullah Ta'ala) got the message and delivered that beautiful reminder that is now from his (rahimahullah Ta'ala) most famous audios.

This audio was his scheduled lecture during that conference.  The one he had thoroughly prepared for.

It has been digitally edited to remove a lot of the background noise, walhamdulilah.

Tahiyyat al-Masjid (Greeting the Masjid) - Some Principles - Fareed Abdullah

Here is a question that was raised after the first lecture from a seminar titled: The Masjid and Its Regulation in Islaam, delivered by Fareed Abdullah (rahimahullah Ta'ala).

"Tahiyyat al-Masjid" or the two rakahs you pray before sitting and coming to the Masjid. One of the questions that arises is, can these two be prayed at the forbidden time? And there is a discussion amongst the Ahlul-ilm concerning this. Is it allowed if you come, for example, in the Masjid, the sun is rising? Can you pray those two rakahs during that time? Or if the sun is directly over here? Or if the sun is setting? Or after you have prayed the Fajr prayer or after Salatul Asr once the sun gets pale? Can you pray "Tahiyyat al-Masjid" during those times?

Here is the detailed response that he (rahimahullah Ta'ala) gave to this question:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]
