Even a Great Shaykh Can be Corrected by a Youth - Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

Are you having problems being advised by someone you deen has less knowledge than you?

Do you like to give people advice but are not prepared to take it from someone "lesser than you" in knowledge?

When advised, especially by one of the youth, do you put up your guard, for surely you know better than this "youth" who is correcting you, right?

Then, you need to listen to this benefit that Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) brings regarding Imam al-Bukhari (rahimiahullah Ta'ala) in a lecture titled: The Biography of Imam Al-Bukhari and How He Dealt With Fitnah.

Swallow your pride, before it swallows you.  Humble yourself before you are forced to be humble.  You still have time!
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Ten Causes for the Expiation of Sins - Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

This is a khutbah that was delivered by Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) at Masjid Salafi on the 4th June 2021. The audio was posted the same day on the Masjid's official SoundCloud account.

I have taken the audio and broken it down into its ten points:

Shaykh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah Ta'ala) mention that there are ten things that remove the sins:

In the Dunya:

1 - at-Taubat-us-Saadeqah (True Repentance):
2 - al-Istighfaar (Seeking Forgiveness): 3 - al-Hasanaat wal A’maal-us-Saalehah (Good Deeds & Righteous Actions): 4 - Calamities that Come to a Person:
The Remainder have No Connection to the Dunya!
In the Grave:

5 - Supplication of the Believers for the Believer: 6 - Certain Righteous Actions done for the Deceased: 7 - Trials of the Grave:
Yaumul Qiyamah:

8 - Shafaa’ah (Intercession of the Believers for the Believer):
9 - Hardships, Trials of the Day of Judgement:
10 - Forgiveness, Mercy of Allah:
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Advice to the Sisters Regarding being Gentle - Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid

Here is a beautiful piece of advice by Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) a truly amazing reminder for us all.

It has been taken from a Q&A session after the weekly sisters ‘Bulūgh al-Marām’ class at Masjid as-Salafi on the 19th of December 2016

NOTE: Even though this was a specific piece of advice to our sisters, it doesn't in any way mean that what is mentioned in this audio, stops at the doorsteps of our sisters.

Brothers take note!  All too often it has been noticed that new brothers to the Masjid have felt alienated, on occasions without so much as being extended the greeting of salam.

So, let's not make it look like the brothers are totally fault-free from these affairs.  May Allah enable us all to rectify our behaviour in a timely manner, Aameen.

We Want Nothing but Success for the Muslims - Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali

A while ago, I posted a lecture from  Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimullah Ta'ala) which is titled: Removing the Fitnah from the Ummah.  Which is at least more than 15 years old.

I doubt that many people will have listened to it.  If this truly is the case, then they are missing out on some immense benefits, especially in the time that we are currently in.

He is one of those benefits.  The solution to our problems is closer than we think.
