Glorifying the Hood, is One of the Problems! - Hasan as-Somali

Here is a benefit from a khutbah delivered on the 17th of September 2021, titled: A Road Map to Secure Our Community at Germantown Masjid by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).

He (hafidhahullah Ta'ala), in this point, mentions that one of the reasons that was have killings in "the hood" is due to the glorification of gangs and gang life in "the hood".

Means to Protect the Children from Shaytan - Raha Batts

Here is a breakdown of a lecture containing 10 points of advice regarding the means to protect our children from Shaytān from the work of Shaykh Dr. Khalid Adh-Dhafiri (hafidhahullah Ta'ala).  The full lecture can be found here.

  1. Cultivate your children upon the remembrance of Allah when entering the home and upon eating
  2. Seek refuge in Allāh at the time of intercourse
  3. Make your home a place where the remembrance of Allah is mentioned (i.e. Qur’ān, legislated Adhkār, supererogatory prayers)
  4. Make an abundance of supererogatory prayers in the home and get your children accustomed to praying them (i.e. Sunan Rawātib, Duhā, Witr etc)
  5. Seek refuge in Allāh from Shaytān on behalf of your children with the legislated supplication
  6. Bring the children in to the home when Maghrib comes in
  7. Recite Surah al-Baqarah in the home frequently
  8. Do not keep pictures of living things (i.e. humans, animals) in the home as this repels the presence of the Angels
  9. Do not raise dogs in the home as pets; this repels Angels from entering the home
  10. Accustom yourself and your children to remember Allāh when leaving the home

    Q&A Session - August 2013 Conference - Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree

    Here is a tele-link with Shaykh 'Ubayd ibn Abdillah ibn Sulaymaan al-Jaabiree (rahimahullah Ta'ala) at the August 2013 Salafi Publications Conference.   

    In it, our Shaykh entertained numerous questions from the people of the West.  Which were then translated by Abdulilah Lahmami (hafidhahullah Ta'ala)

    The audio was taken from Salafi Publications' SoundCloud account. 

    Just to make you aware, I have edited the recording and removed the first question that was put to our Shaykh regarding the two main speakers who were invited to attend the conference back in 2013.  The first being Muhammad al-Anjaree and the second being Ahmad as-Subay'ee.  

    It is not hidden from anyone that Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree (rahimahullah Ta'ala) no longer supports or praises either of these two individuals and as such, I have removed this question from my posting and will also be excluding it totally from the posting of the individual questions, very soon, in shaa Allah!
     
    Bearing this in mind, it should also be noted that some of the questions are related to the Manhaj of the Salafi, as important today as they were back in late 2013.

    Question 1: For the woman who seeks a khula' (to be separated from her husband), what is the period of her Iddah?
    Question 2: Whoever broke his fast in the days of Ramadaan without an excuse, what is upon them? Is it upon them to make Tawbah, to repent?
    Question 3: The one who has to make up missed days in the month of Ramadaan, is it upon him to complete those days of Ramadaan before they go about fasting the six days of Shawaal?
    Question 4: What is your advice with regard to what is happening in Egypt (2013) nowadays?
    Question 5: What is your advice regarding those that say demonstrations against the government, it is allowed?  
    Question 6: Ihya at-Turaath has some activities with some of the Masaajid in the UK.  Is our difference based upon Aqeedah or a difference of Ijtihad?
    Question 7: There are those here who revile the likes of Shaykh Rabee and call the Salafee's Madakhila and Jaami'a, what should be our stance towards them?
    Question 8: How does one bring about Khushoo' (humility, fear and awe) in the prayer?

    Giving Precedence to Calling to Tawheed - Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali

    Get your priorities right, start with that which is most important and then what comes next.  We have a methodology for understanding our religion and it gives us priorities. 

    The priority is for us to understand the subject matter of Tawheed.

    Muhammad Suroor, Equating Homosexuality to Shirk al-Akbar - Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali

    Here is a very important benefit along with many others that can be found in the lecture titled: The Methodology of the Prophet in Calling to Allah by Abu Uwais Abdullah Ali (rahimahullah Ta'ala). 

    He (rahimahullah Ta'ala) brings a benefit to demonstrate the importance of understanding tawheed.  He gives the example of people reaction to crime of homosexuality and their reaction to someone who swears by other than Allah.  

    Which of these two crimes is the more grave sin?  If you don't know, then it is time to get back to studying tawheed.  Listen to what Abu Uwais (rahimahullah Ta'ala) brings about the leader of the Suroori's, whose name was Muhammad Suroor and his deviant misunderstanding.
