The Evils of Jealousy & Envy - Hasan as-Somali

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do not hate one another, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert each other, and O, Allah's worshipers! Be brothers. Lo! It is not permissible for any Muslim to desert (not talk to) his brother (Muslim) for more than three days." [Book 78, Hadith 95, Sahih al-Bukhari 6065]

Jealousy and envy are two characteristics that can be very dangerous for an individual or a group of people to have.

Listen to this khutbah by Hasan as-Somali (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) that addresses this subject matter.

Hearing & Obeying Ruler - Illuminati - Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

We hear the hadeeth that mention hearing and obeying the rulers.   The conspiracy theorists think that these hadeeths were incorporated by those who want us to serve their purpose.  So much so that they incorporated these hadeeths into Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, which leads us to spend hours looking into the Illuminati, trying to establish their conspiracy theories. Wasting so much time.

I came across this benefit on YouTube, in which Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) mentions that people go so deep into spending so much time in this affair, taking them away from studying that knowledge that will protect them against any such conspiracies.
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

The Struggle of Cleansing the Heart - Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan

Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) delivered at khutbah at Masjid Ahlul Qur’an Wal Hadeeth on the 1st October 2021 commonly known as 18th Street Masjid.

It was originally posted on the official Spreaker account of the masjid.

This khutbah had such a profound effect on me, that I wanted to share it here with all of you.  It seriously made me think about my own affairs and reflect on them.

It is based upon a question that was asked to him by a brother concerned about his own affairs.

The question was as follows: "There is something wrong with me. I continuously ask Allahu Ta'ala to soften my heart.  I'm continuously asking Allahu Ta'ala to make it easy for me, to read the Qur'an.  I ask Allahu Tabarakahu wa Ta'ala right after the Salawat, Ya Allah, make this easy for me and make that easy for me but I don't find an affect of that dua.  A person comes to me and reminds me with Ayat of the Qur'an, there is no Athar (the affect of that reminder) upon my heart.  So, what is the matter, that I am asking Allah and I am asking Allah and there is no Athar upon my heart?"
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

At what Age is Salah in the Masjid Obligatory? - Shaykh Saaleh al-Luhaydaan

In a series of questions titled: More Questions for Shaykh Saaleh al-Luhaydaan our Shaykh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) was asked the following question:

"When is it obligatory for the boy to begin to pray in the Masjid?"

Our Shaykh (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) responded with the following answer that was then translated by Mustafa George (hafidhahullah Ta'ala):
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever invites to guidance will be rewarded like those who follow him in the guidance are rewarded, and that will not decrease the reward of those who have followed him." [Collected by Imām Muslim]

Over the years the Noble Shaykh Saaleh ibn Muhammad al-Luhaydaan (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) has had many questions asked to him from English speaking individuals.  In this ongoing series, I will be presenting some of them that were translated by Mustafa George (hafidhahullah Ta'ala) and others during his classes for the westerners, delivered in Riyadh, KSA.

Asmaa wa Sifaat - Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah

Here is an amazing opportunity to learn about the Asmaa (Names) wa Sifaat (Attributes) of Allah (subhanahu wa Ta'ala) from the Muhaddith of Pakistan Shaykh Badee Uddin Shah (rahimahullah Ta'ala). In a lecture that has been digitally remastered (walhamdulillah), its tempo has been slowed down by 10% which makes it considerably easier to understand for the listener, in shaa Allah.
